A Sermon

As a youth pastor one of the things I was "trained" to do was listen too and break down sermons. The reason behind this is simple. If I can break down the sermon it had a flowing point. One that the audience could understand and learn from. The other, and more important reason is to see if the sermon talked about the power of Jesus on the cross, his death, burial, and resurrection over Satan sin and death. If a sermon doesn't have that it's a bog pile of crap. It may be well worded and pretty but it's still junk.

I listen to alot of sermons. In fact if the radio in my car is on that's what's playing. They range from guys I went to school with to local pastors and a few mega church pastors. What I have found is that the sermon may be good (or even horrible) but if it doesn't mention what Jesus did is it worth it?

To God Be The Glory!
